These are dried, locally grown, organic, Hopi Black Beans from Grant Family Farms. They are grown and harvested under organic, gluten free conditions. Used primarily in latin foods, these beans are great in a Creole stew, or just wrapped up in a tortilla with some chicken! Before slow cooking these beans be sure to boil them for at least 10 minutes. As with most other dried bean, you have to boil them long enough to destroy the toxin phytohaemagglutinin.
