This ground hamburger is from hormone and antibiotic free grass-fed beef.  Our Niman Ranch steaks are not frozen at any time, and are delivered fresh cut to your door wrapped in butcher paper.  This allows for immediate use, as well as maxiumum freshness.

Niman Ranch began in the 1970's as an 11 acre ranch just north of San Francisco. Currently, their network has grown to 676 independent family-owned ranches. Each ranch is dedicated to the Niman standards: raise livestock traditionally and humanely using sustainable agriculture practices. This means the cows graze on the grasses in the fields, spend their lives with their litter mates, always have access to food and water and are allowed to express their natural behaviors. They are never given a hormone or antibiotic, and are handled using protocols created by (Colorado's own) animal husbandry expert, Dr. Temple Grandin. They are raised in harmony with natural grasses, and each ranch uses sustainable rotating methods to maintain the health of the land and its resources.

All Niman cattle are 100% Angus breed. They are raised on pasture and finished on grain. Their superior genetics, low stress environment, and high quality vegetarian diet contribute to the rich marbling and delicate flavor of Niiman ranch beef.
